THIS SUNDAY -  Is Palm Sunday. Read Matthew 21:1-11 and focus on Jesus entering Jerusalem during Passover. Why do you suppose he rode a donkey? What was the meaning of this event? Why do you suppose Jesus entered the city so humbly? Come join us in person at 10:00am or online at: Church Online.

FINANCIAL UPDATE - The general fund YTD income from September 01st to March 31st is $99,242 while our YTD budget is $111,713. Thus we have a budget shortfall of $12,471 as of March 31, 2025. We have kept our general expenses below budget at $103,876, but they are still greater than our income by $4634. Thus, we are currently running a deficit and although we do have sufficient funds in the bank to finance this on a short term basis, it is not something that can be sustained long term. Please prayerfully consider your giving and we thank you for your generosity.

SPRING PLANNING MEETING - Please mark your calendars! We will be having our Spring Planning Meeting on Sunday, June 1st after the service during our potluck time.

DORIE VAN SEARCH - The Dorie family are on the lookout for a van that can seat 8 passengers as soon as possible. If anyone knows of a van (make, model, Kilometers do not matter) that is available for purchase at a good price point (under 30K) please let them know.

CARING MINISTRY INITIATIVE - During the month of April, we have the blessed opportunity to support the Prince George Hospice Palliative Care Society (Hospice House)!  All monies donated to the CFBC Benevolence Fund during April will be given as a token of our care and love to the Hospice House (which is also our neighbour!).  The Prince George Hospice Palliative Care Society runs a ten bed facility equipped to accommodate those looking for palliative, end-of-life care and respite. Their Solace Centre provides community outreach which includes caregiver and bereavement support.  Will you give thought to donating beyond your tithes and offerings to the CFBC Benevolence Fund this month?  Hospice House is run by true angels, and your support for this invaluable community care centre will always be so very appreciated! Let’s extend the Lord’s hands from this end of Clapperton Street to the other end! - Becky Gairns

CONTACT LIST - If you are new to the church in the last year, we are currently in the middle of updating our church family list with your contact info (official member or consistent church attendee). Please either email us back with your email address, phone number, and full mailing address or to tell Chelsea on Sunday. For long term members at your church, have you moved recently in the last couple years and let the church know your new address? If unsure please check with Chelsea.

CFBC VALUES - We believe that learning and growing together is a crucial aspect of spiritual growth. Are you being discipled by someone? Are you plugged into a small group? What are some ways that you are ensuring that you learn and grow with others?

CFBC NEWSLETTER - If you know of someone who is new to the church, ask them if they signed up for our newsletter? Which can help them stay up to date with the church events and updates. Let them know they can sign up by talking to Chelsea Martin or by emailing office@centralfellowship.ca

MEMBERSHIP  - If you are interested in membership or have questions as to what membership is all about, please speak with someone from the Leadership Team. To put it briefly, membership fulfils our obligation as a non-profit, but more importantly it speaks to our commitment to one another and allows each member to hold one another accountable to biblical principles.

GIVING - One of the ways that we respond in faith to God’s grace and God’s goodness is in the area of generosity. When we give sacrificially, even in ways that don’t make sense in the eyes of the world, we’re honouring God with faith. You can also give via eTransfers or online at Give Online.
