FELLOWSHIP CONSULTATION - Members from Fellowship Pacific will be joining us on the weekend of January 30 - February 1. The purpose of this consultation is to help our congregation more effectively join God in His mission for the church and discern what that looks like. There will be a workshop that we encourage everyone to attend so please mark your calendars.

MISSIONS - THE ROKEBYS  - In Japan, there are no longstanding Christmas traditions. Of course you can find light displays, and many eat a KFC feast with Christmas cake (strawberry shortcake) on Christmas Day, but most people do not seem to know that Christmas is related to Christianity. Thankfully, many Japanese are curious about "foreign" things, so we had several opportunities to talk about the birth of Christ. Read more here.

MISSIONS - THE EADIES - I want to thank each of you (individuals, families, and church communities) that have prayed over our family, our community and especially the Bilimeks these past couple of weeks. It is appreciated. On top of Janae's passing, our community has dealt with three other medical emergencies in December that ended up as medevacs in the mission community (two were other mission orgs, one was MAF). This is beyond unusual, in fact it really is unprecedented. To put into perspective, before 2024 no one here can remember a member of MAF needing a medevac out of country since the 1990's.
