THIS SUNDAY - We are studying 2 Peter 1:12-21. This passage is one where Peter uses what little time, he has left to urge the early church to remember who Jesus is and the truth of the Scriptures. Do you ever doubt? Do you need reminding? Come join us in person at 10:00 am or online at: Church Online.
SPRING PLANNING MEETING - Please mark your calendars! We will be having our Spring Planning Meeting on Sunday, June 1st, after the service, during our potluck time.
LAWN MOWING SIGN-UP SHEET - There is a lawn mowing sheet that we will be passing around during the service to help us take care of the church grounds. There are lots of slots still open. If you have the time this summer to help out, please sign up or ask for the sign-up sheet.
CHURCH IN THE PARK - Will be on Sunday, June 8th, 10:30 am at Lheidli T’enneh Park Bandshell. Church service won’t be happening at our regular time and location, so come join us for this awesome service with churches around our community! Bring your own lawn chair; there will be bouncy castles for kids after the service and food trucks where you can buy lunch.
BAPTISM - On Sunday, June 8th, after church in the park service, we will be heading to West Lake for the baptism of Troy Wiebe. If you or anyone you know is also interested in getting baptised, please reach out to Jason by email. We have rented out a picnic shelter on the east side of the beach (Shelter one on the provincial park map at West Lake) for the day.

BABY BOTTLE CAMPAIGN - CFBC is once again joining with many other churches and organisations to partner with Advocate’s (P.G. Hope for Women)’s Annual Baby Bottle Campaign! This will be CFBC’s Caring Team Ministry’s Benevolence Initiative from Mother’s Day to and including Father’s Day 2025. (May 11-June 15). Please plan on picking up (signing out) a baby bottle (located in the church foyer), filling it with your loose cash or a cheque and returning it by June 15th. Each baby bottle is numbered and must be signed out on the form provided. You can also donate online at babybottles.ca
SUMMER CHILDREN’S PROGRAM - We are thrilled to have so many young children joining us at CFBC, and we want to provide a space where they can learn, play, and feel engaged during the church service this summer. Each Sunday, we need two volunteers to supervise a play space in the youth room downstairs next to the sanctuary for children aged 18 months to 6 years old. Kids will start in the service for singing and be dismissed before the sermon begins. No prep is needed, just your enthusiasm and kindness! If you’re able to volunteer a couple of times this summer, we’d be so grateful. Thank you for considering this opportunity—we appreciate you! Contact Karen Walkey or 250-617-5812.
CFBC NEWSLETTER - If you know of someone who is new to the church, ask them if they signed up for our newsletter? This can help them stay up to date with the church events and updates. Let them know they can sign up by talking to Chelsea Martin or by emailing office@centralfellowship.ca
MEMBERSHIP - If you are interested in membership or have questions as to what membership is all about, please speak with someone from the Leadership Team. To put it briefly, membership fulfils our obligation as a non-profit, but more importantly, it speaks to our commitment to one another and allows each member to hold one another accountable to biblical principles.
GIVING - Because you give, we can hire staff, purchase supplies, purchase curriculum, and teach kids about Jesus. We’re teaching Bible stories to your children to lay a foundation for God’s actions in their lives. We’re discipling people in their walk with Jesus. And your giving makes that possible. We’re so proud to be a part of a church that takes this mission seriously. You can also give via eTransfers or online at Give Online.
