THIS SUNDAY - We will be wrapping up our series on our values as a church. Our last value is Risk-Taking; biblically, what does it mean to take risks? Can you think of any stories from Scripture that detail how this is a valued part of following Jesus? Come join us in person at 10:00am or at Church Online.
MEMBERSHIP - The Leadership Team has met with Troy Wiebe and is recommending him for membership at CFBC. If anyone has any questions or concerns please speak with Pastor Jason or someone on the Leadership Team.
GAMES NIGHT - Mark your calendars! We will be having a games night on Friday, November 21, from 6:30 pm-9:00 pm. Please bring your favourite games and some snacks to share as we fellowship together!
2024/25 CARING TEAM MINISTRY BENEVOLENCE INITIATIVES - Update & Final Initiative for 2025! With grateful hearts we thank everyone who donated to CFBC’s Benevolence Fund during the month of October. We were able to send along $702.57 to St. Vincent de Paul’s Drop-In Centre (Food Distribution). Here’s the final Benevolence Initiative of 2025: from November 14 to December 12, all monies donated to CFBC’s Benevolence Fund will be given to the Salvation Army’s Food Bank for their Christmas Food Hamper Program. The Salvation Army has access to wholesalers where they can make the dollars go much further than we can by purchasing items and putting together food hampers. Will you prayerfully consider how you might donate to meet the needs of so many in our community - in Jesus’ Name? What better way to celebrate the giving of God’s Greatest Gift to us!
ROKEBYS MISSION UPDATE - This month, the leadership team let us know that the church is not yet ready to receive a long-term missionary family. At first we were disappointed, but we understand that the church is in transition as they search for a Japanese pastor. Please continue to pray for the future of Mizonokuchi Chapel as they shine the light of the gospel in Kawasaki. Read more here.
EADIES MISSION UPDATE - MAF uses about 100 active airstrips in Papua. Sometimes we open new ones, and sometimes we close existing ones. We might close an airstrip because it needs maintenance or upgrades, or we might close one due to security concerns as well. Kwegono is an airstrip that was closed in the past due to security concerns. Thankfully, the situation changed, and at the request of the local church we moved towards reopening this very isolated location. Read more here.
NESS LAKE BIBLE CAMP - Prince George Friend-Raising Dessert Night is on Nov 14, 6:00 pm. Stay and mingle until 8:30 pm at Westwood Church in Prince George. Register here.
SMALL GROUP LEADERS - We will be having a meeting on Wednesday, November 26 at 5:00 pm at the church. Please come prepared to discuss how your groups are going, what support might look like and what you are doing to mentor others within your groups.
HONDURAS MISSIONS OPPORTUNITY - February 2026. Wendy Graham is organizing another mission outreach to Honduras that will take place February 10-18, 2026. If you are interested, please pick up an information/ application package in the foyer, and/or speak to Wendy after the Sunday service. The deadline for applications is December 1st.
GIVING - One of the ways we get to worship God is through giving. We worship when we give our hearts back to God through singing his praises, when we surrender our will to God’s ultimate design for our lives through prayer, and when we offer our tithes to Him for His glory through giving. Through financial giving we praise God for the blessings of having the financial resources to offer back to him that which He has already given us. Thank you for supporting the ministry of CFBC. You may donate via cash, cheque, credit card or Interac at the church on Sunday, or you can e-Transfer to donations@centralfellowship.ca, or you can also donate online.
