SUNDAY - prepare for this week’s service by reading Revelation 2: 8-11. Come listen to Pastor Jason speak on “Keeping Faith Under Pressure”. We will celebrate communion next Sunday. Activity packs for children are available at the back of the sanctuary. Our online service is available at Church Online.

CARING TEAM - A new month, a new initiative!! During the month of August, we would like to collect and provide a variety of school supplies to bless as many students as we can.  Will you partner with us by donating typical school supplies?  All supplies can be dropped off at the church and will be distributed in early September. Alternatively, all cash donations marked “Benevolence” during August will be used to purchase school supplies.

THANK YOU - from the Caring Team for supporting last month’s initiative for St. Vincent de Paul’s Drop-In Centre, which enabled us to donate $500.00 for food supplies. The manager at the Drop-In Centre receives significant discounts and so the money and food go much further.  We shall say it once more:  We are blessed to bless again!

OPPORTUNITY - We are looking for someone within the congregation to do janitorial work at the church for the last two weeks in August. If you are interested or know someone who is, please contact the office. Remuneration is available.

MARK YOUR CALENDAR - our Fall Kick-Off will be on Sunday, September 11. We encourage you to invite your friends and neighbours for food, fun and games as we start our new ministry year.

ROKEBY UPDATE - Continue to pray for the family as they continue with church visitation and for Tanja to recover from post-delivery complications. Their latest newsletter says Halfway through the summer, our schedule continues to take shape.  We are thankful that the Lord is providing us with opportunities to share our vision and invite churches to partner with us to reach our goal of arriving in Japan early next year. Read more at Rokeby Update.

DAILY BREAD - for September-October-November is available in the foyer. Contact the office if you would like a copy mailed to you.
