THIS SUNDAY Alan Bromley will be speaking from Mark 9:30-37, “The Way of the Cross”. Our series on Lent, “Cross Examinations”, is a study focusing on the meaning of Christ's passion in the gospel stories of Mark. Because the cross is the controlling symbol for interpreting Jesus’ identity it also describes the character of Christian discipleship.
Masks are required at our in person services. Sermon notes will be available for download on Sunday for personal and small group use at Sermon Notes.

LENT GUIDE is a booklet published by Central Community Church in Chilliwack and is available from the ushers or download from our website Lent Guide

ONLINE SERVICES will continue to be available for those who are unable to attend. Church Online.

SUNDAY SCHOOL is available for ages 3 to Grade 2. Ages 5 and up should wear masks, if able.

SHORT CONGREGATIONAL MEETING - February 27 after the Sunday service to vote on the pastoral candidate and on Discernment Team members. Members who are unable to attend may pre-register to join by Zoom and vote on the motions. Call the office or Ester to pre-register and receive the Zoom link.

LEADERSHIP TEAM - met on Wednesday to engage with one another by enhancing our listening skills. The Leadership Team is strategizing around the goal of hearing the congregation’s diversity and promoting unity in Christ and the essentials of the faith.

OPPORTUNITY - Are you looking for a place to serve? Do you love kids? I am looking for 2-4 people to teach or help with Sunday School. Flexible schedule. Great benefits! Contact Karen Walkey.

FOOD 4 FEBRUARY! The Caring Team invites you to join us in being the Lord’s hand extended to the community. For the entire month of February 2022, you can drop off nutritious, non-perishable food items in the church kitchen. For the winter months, NO canned goods - only items that will not harm if they freeze. They will be delivered weekly to two in-place, outdoor food pantries in Prince George (run by the community; for the community).  More information at Little Blue Pantry. Alternatively, monetary donations may be designated to the “Benevolent Fund”.

UNDERSTANDING DEPRESSION - This week we share the last article from this booklet titled “Relying on God to carry the burden”. Anyone who’s ever dealt with depression knows how hard it is to be thankful about anything. Depression is a wet blanket. It constantly smothers us, making gratitude nearly impossible to reach. And yet, I’m thankful for my depression. Download this week’s article at  Dealing With Depression.

MINISTRY SUPPORT - Thank you for your ongoing prayers and financial support as we continue this ministry. You can give online at Give  or call the church to set up eTransfers or for other ways to give.

PRAYER - We want to care for you! Email prayer needs to prayer@centralfellowship.ca.
