SUNDAY - Fall weather is upon us with rain, cool nights but a day or two of sunshine to brighten our hearts. As we gather to worship this week, may God guide you to find a place to connect with people. Todd Chapman from the Fellowship office will be speaking this week from Luke 19:1-10 on “Our World Needs Jesus.” 

CHILDREN’S MINISTRY - Sunday School is for ages 3-8. You will need to register your children when you arrive. Ages 0-3: Space is available for parents to take their children to a place to play. This is an unsupervised space just off the foyer- follow the signs to the Blessing Place.

LIVE STREAMING of our service will continue at 10 a.m. on Sundays. We encourage people to connect with us in this way if you are unable to attend the in-person service. Church Online.

THIRD CONGREGATIONAL CONVERSATION - October 2 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. We will be adjusting and affirming our mission statement and answering the question: How will we get there? Lunch will be provided. We will be providing a Zoom option for those who cannot attend in person. To attend, register at Register-3rd Conversation.

SEARCH COMMITTEE - We met this week and are doing reference calls for the two remaining candidates. We will be doing another interview with both of them on October 5th. Please commit to pray for discernment for both the committee and the men being considered.

LEADERSHIP TEAM met this week reviewing the budget, our ministry areas, organizational chart, and prepared for elections at the AGM. We received updates from the search committee and our transitional pastor as well. They will be spending September 23-25 at Ness Lake for leadership development with Fellowship Pacific. Ask them about it!!

SMALL GROUPS - Watch for information next week as we look forward to connecting with each other.

KITCHEN/COFFEE MINISTRY - We are looking for someone who has gifts in helps and administration to assist us in providing a safe, fun and delicious environment in our kitchen and in developing a coffee service team. We have people who want to make coffee. We are looking for someone to oversee this important ministry. Please contact Ester at the office if you are interested or would suggest someone.

MEMBERSHIP - The Leadership Team unanimously recommends Monica Murphy for church membership. Any feedback should be addressed to before October 10.  

CHRISTMAS SHOEBOXES - Help children who have NOTHING to know the love of Jesus this Christmas through this great ministry. Take a shoebox, choose an age and gender, fill the box with items and return to the church OR you can donate to the benevolent fund using SHOEBOX to designate. More information at Shoeboxes. We need someone to promote this within CFBC. Please contact Ester at the office for more information.

SAVE THE DATE - Our ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING is coming up on October 24th. Please plan to be there. Packages will be sent out on October 8th. Ministry coordinators reports need to be in by Friday, September 30th.

SALVATION ARMY KETTLE CAMPAIGN - This campaign is the main source of funding for the work that The Salvation Army does in the Prince George area. Could you or a group volunteer to stand at a kettle for an evening, a day, or one day a week? This gives us an opportunity for the community to see our church in action.
