SUNDAY - 9th Commandment: You Shall Not Bear False Testimony Against Your Neighbour. Is it ever moral or right to deceive someone? Why is truth fundamental to a thriving society? Join us in person at 10 a.m. or watch online at   Church Online.

BLESSING PLACE (nursery) has moved back upstairs. Screened volunteers will be available to care for your children ages 0-3 during the service, after the singing.

DAYLIGHT SAVINGS TIME - Church will still begin at 10 a.m. but remember to turn your clocks ahead one hour before you go to bed on Saturday!

The LEADERSHIP TEAM met on Thursday and began working on our Spring Planning Meeting which is scheduled for Sunday, June 11.  The Discernment Team will be welcoming your suggestions for nominations for the Leadership Team, Small Groups Team and other ministry coordinator positions.

Financially, we are not in a great position as of the end of February compared to previous years.  Our year-to-date general revenue from September 2022 to February 2023 is $84,442 which is significantly less than our expenses of $99,023.  The budget amount for this period is $105,666, so although our expenses are less than budgeted, they still exceed our income by $14,581 which is significant.  We did have some increased heating and snow-clearing costs this year, but the primary factor contributing to the deficit is reduced income, not increased expenses.

As of December 2022, we had a year-to-date surplus of $5476.  Typically we see a drop in giving in January, but donations pick up again in February.  However, that did not happen this year.  If this trend continues, we will have to make some significant cuts to our planned expenses which will be difficult.  Please pray about this situation; consider if you can increase your giving and pray for wisdom for the leadership team.

GIVING - One of the ways that we respond in faith to God’s grace and God’s goodness is in the area of generosity. When we give sacrificially, even in ways that don’t make sense in the eyes of the world, we’re honouring God with faith. You can drop off your gifts in the donation box in the foyer or use the debit machine there. You can also give via eTransfers or Give online.
