SUNDAY - This week we start a new series as we approach Easter: The Heart of Christ. What is the heart of God like? What comes to mind when you think about God and how he views you? Join us in person at 10 a.m. or watch online at Church Online

CELEBRATION OF LIFE for Brett Nelson will be held on Saturday, March 25 at 2:00 p.m. at the Westwood Church. For those unable to attend, the April 1 service in Surrey will be live-streamed.

PALM SUNDAY - will be celebrated next Sunday. Look for the Passion Week devotional booklet this Sunday to help you focus on the events leading up to Easter.

MARCH BENEVOLENCE INITIATIVE - This is the last week to give to in  support of the Elizabeth Fry Family Resource Centre which helps low-income families in Prince George. Designate your gift “Benevolent”.

INTERVARSITY UPDATE - Cristyn writes about challenges but also the many connections the team is making. Currently, we are looking forward to Scripture Camp. I am estimating that we will be bringing fifteen students down. And who knows! God has been surprising me this year. There may be more. Our theme is looking at “Encountering Jesus”. The Gospel of Luke is the Gospel for the outcast and marginalized. As a result, we are in need of raising $8500.00 this year. This number involves travel, scholarships for students and future projects. Many students we are taking down are international students and are struggling to pay the $330 for Scripture Camp. Donate at Lamp On A Hill Fundraiser.

EYES ON JESUS women’s Bible conference will be the McBride Evangelical Free Church from March 31 to April 1. Brochures are available in the foyer.

  • the speaker, Kalee Braun from Vernon E-Free, will be sharing from the book of Hebrews
  • our caterer's menu is phenomenal - a literal feast on Friday night, and so many treats on Saturday!
  • "body breaks" with options such as walking, hiking and handicrafts (or napping)
  • great discussion times throughout
  • prizes and giveaways galore

MAYOR’S PRAYER BREAKFAST with guest speaker, Dr. Albert Koehler on Saturday, April 1, at 8:00 a.m. at the Civic Centre. God has good plans for our city and we believe it is really significant to come together as Christians to pray and agree together that there is hope for our city. We also believe in the importance of showing our civic leaders that the Christian community cares and desires to engage the issues we are encountering in our community. So please join us. We are expecting great things to happen. Mayor's Prayer Breakfast.
