THIS SUNDAY -  We are studying 1 John 4. What does it mean to test the spirits? Do we still need to do this today and how does this link with John’s call to love? You can come join us in person at 10:00am or at Church Online. 

SUMMER SUNDAY SCHOOL - This summer, our sunday school program will be for kids aged 18 months to 6 years and held in the upstairs preschool room. Parents MUST sign in and sign out their children, but we will have activity packs for kids ages 7-12 years old that they can retrieve from an usher after the young ones are dismissed. 

PLAN TO PROTECT VOLUNTEERS - Calling all our Volunteers for Sunday school, Blessing Place and Youth group! It’s that time of year. You need to do a refresher course for Plan to Protect. Karen Walkey will run it on Monday, August 25 from 7:00 - 8:00 pm. The in-person refresher is a lot easier than the online version, so please come and get updated. This will enable us to schedule everyone for the fall term. Contact Karen Walkey if you have questions. 

KICKOFF SUNDAY - On Sunday, September 7, we will be having our Kick-Off Sunday. After the service we have a potluck lunch with a theme ‘BBQ food’. Bring your favourite dish to share with your church family! 

SMALL GROUPS - We would like to encourage you to join a small group this fall. We are always in need of leaders and hosts and we believe firmly that the most effective way to build community and to grow spiritually is through connecting in a small group. Please speak to a LT member!

FREEDOM SESSION - Summer is almost over and it’s time to integrate back into community and church life. There will be Freedom Session schedules on the sanctuary table. It will start on Monday, October 6. Please contact Janice McDonald if you have any questions.

CELEBRATE LIFE GALA - will be happening on Thursday, October 2 from 7:00 - 9:00 pm with a pre-dinner reception at 6:00 pm at the Prince George Civic Centre. The keynote speaker will be Matt Hammitt, a songwriter, musician and speaker so mark your calendars!

CFBC NEWSLETTER - If you know of someone who is new to the church, encourage them to sign up for our newsletter. It can help them stay up to date with the church events and updates. Sign up by  emailing the office.

MEMBERSHIP  - If you are interested in or have questions about membership, please speak with someone from the Leadership Team. Briefly, membership fulfils our obligation as a non-profit, but more importantly it speaks to our commitment to one another and allows each member to hold one another accountable to biblical principles.
