THIS SUNDAY -  Charles Scott will be sharing a message on Evangelism. As we begin to look outside ourselves as a church, what might it look like to engage with our neighbourhood community? What might evangelism look like in Canada in 2026? Come join us in person at 10:00 am at the church or you can watch the sermon online at Church Online.

SPECIAL MEETING - There will be a brief meeting after the service on Sunday, February 8 to vote on the recommendations we received in the consultation report from last Sunday. We hope you will all stay to engage as we look at what God has for the future of CFBC!

CONSULTATION FOLLOW UP – The Leadership Team would like to thank our congregation for the excellent participation and valuable feedback shared during our consultation weekend. We will be communicating practical next steps through the newsletter to keep this a priority and to maintain accountability to our membership. Please read the consultation report here.

BENEVOLENT FUND FEBRUARY INITIATIVE -  Will you consider donating to the Benevolence Fund during the month of February?  We would love to bless the Elder Citizens Recreation Association here in Prince George!  All funds which come into CFBC’s Benevolence Fund throughout February 2026 will be directly donated to ECRA. Please just note on your donation that it is to go to the BENEVOLENCE FUND.  We consider it an honour and a privilege to bless our senior citizens.

DONATION RECEIPTS for March to December 2025 will be emailed to you shortly.  If you donated in January and February, then you would have already received a receipt for those 2 months since the CRA allowed those months to be claimed on your 2024 tax return. If you would like a printed copy of your Mar-Dec receipt or if you need a duplicate copy of your Jan-Feb receipt, please contact Doug Gairns.

MISSIONS UPDATE - The Eadies I am both broken hearted and encouraged by Melani's story, and how she - with joy - followed the calling of our good God to love and disciple these young kids in this small village. From our perspective on this earth, she gave up everything. But measure that against what she gains in and through Christ. Measure that against the good work God is accomplishing through faithful servants at this little school. These are things the enemy cannot steal or destroy. Read the complete letter here

MISSIONS UPDATE - The Rokebys God has been sending people to us. Earlier this month, Tanja was invited over by two different moms. When Tanja mentioned that we might be moving to Yokohama for an internship, both insisted that they continue to meet. Furthermore, some of our neighbours have made gestures to deepen our relationship. One even brought us back some delicious apples from her trip to northern Japan and shared photos of the snow. We are so thankful that God is giving us opportunities to build trust with members of our community. Read more here.
