THIS SUNDAY - We are looking at the story of Jacob this Sunday. His story reverses our theme: “What happens when you do everything wrong and things still work out?” Join us in person at 10 a.m. or watch online at Online Church

IMPORTANT: the email address for eTransfers has been changed to donations@centralfellowship.ca. If you give with eTransfer, please log in to your banking site and change the email address for Central Fellowship before your next donation. There are no changes if you give via pre-authorized debit or online through the website.

OFFICE ADMINISTRATOR - We are happy to announce that Chelsea Martin has agreed to become our new office administrator as of August 29th. Ester Wiens will continue to do the bookkeeping remotely at present.

BENEVOLENT AUGUST INITIATIVE - We would like to provide school supplies to the students at Carney Hill Neighbourhood Centre/School. All supplies can be brought to CFBC’s kitchen. They will be collected and distributed in early September. All donations designated to the Benevolence Fund during the month of August will be used to purchase school supplies.

BABY BOTTLE CAMPAIGN - The funds that we collected via donations to the Benevolent Fund for $400.00, as well as the filled baby bottles, have been given to the Advokate/Hope for Women, a worthwhile community ministry.

FREEDOM SESSION - Will be starting on Monday, September 25. Registration forms are available at the back table or contact Janice McDonald. If anyone can help with running tech or preparing coffee, please let Janice know.

GIVING - Generosity has little to do with how much you have.  It has everything to do with the attitude of your heart and your faithful obedience to God. Generosity is one of those perspective-altering things…when we focus on the needs of others, we become less selfish and happier.  When you only think about the things you don’t have or how miserable things are, it’s tough not to feel bad.  But when you think about God’s goodness and grace, despite our own mess-ups, our perspective changes. You can place your gifts in the donation box in the foyer or use the debit machine there. You can also give via eTransfers or online at Give Online.
