THIS SUNDAY - The parable of the Prodigal Son shows us a few different reactions to the Father’s heart. Do you believe that God the Father accepts you when you are still far off? Is there room to believe that the Father invites you into his house even if you are stubbornly refusing to join? Join us in person at 10 a.m. or watch Church Online

BAPTISM - Jesus set an example for us as an act of obedience with His own baptism. Pastor Jason would love to discuss this further with those who want to take this step in their faith journey. There will be a time of discussion this Sunday, May 7 after church. Lunch will be provided. Contact Pastor Jason before Sunday.

DISCERNMENT TEAM -Most ministry positions are up for renewal at the Spring Planning Meeting. Responsibilities begin on September 1. The Team has been contacting people and is interested to hear from you if you would like to serve or know of a suitable person.

SPRING PLANNING MEETING - will be held on Sunday, June 11 following a potluck lunch. This is when we elect people to the Leadership Team and ministry coordinator positions and discuss our budget for fall. Ministry Coordinators - please submit your budget proposals to the office by May 24.

BABY BOTTLE CAMPAIGN - For the month of May, the Caring Team Ministry has set its Benevolence Initiative to come alongside and bless Advokate Life and Education Services’ Baby Bottle Campaign.  All monetary donations designated ‘Benevolent’ during the month of May will be given to Advokate.  Or you can pick up an empty baby bottle to take home and fill it with loose change/paper money or a cheque made out “Advokate Life and Education Services”. Join us in being generous to Advokate’s Hope for Women Pregnancy Services here in Prince George.

LIBRARY - Is there a book or a resource you’d like to see in our church library? Cathy Joyce will place an order soon and would love your feedback. Contact her or leave a message at the office.

ROKEBY UPDATE- With about $350 per month of our ongoing support requirement outstanding, we are drawing closer to applying for our visas and setting a departure date. As we near the end of partner raising, our minds are shifting to farewells, packing and sorting out the details of moving to Japan.  The magnitude of the adjustment is starting to dawn upon us; nevertheless, we look forward to fulfilling the call we have received from our church and for which many of you continue to pray and give sacrificially.
