“It is a dark day for world peace”   - Statement from UN High Commissioner for Refugees Filippo Grandi on the situation in Ukraine

On February 24, 2022, the Russian military launched attacks across Ukraine triggering a huge wave of civilians fleeing their homes. We have all been following the unfolding crisis in Ukraine with great concern. The invasion of this sovereign state has already inflicted enormous pain, suffering, and death. The ripple effects are being felt throughout the region and beyond.

Yet many of our Fellowship International missionaries supported by the work of FAIR can attest to the fact that in times of darkness, Christ’s light shines brightest.

Please be in prayer for the people and country of Ukraine.

  • Pray for peace in the Ukraine.
  • Pray that Ukrainian believers will respond in a Christ-honouring way.
  • Pray the Ukrainians desiring to flee the country would be able to do so safely.

“Let there be light in the darkness” 2 Corinthians 4:6

The Response

The situation for refugees fleeing Ukraine is very fluid and, as in any conflict, it is the vulnerable who suffer greatly.

Currently, FAIR is working with our Fellowship International missionaries in Poland, Pierre and Hanna Jutras and Ben and Krista Taylor along with their local church communities to provide care and support to Ukrainian refugees.

Funds received for the Ukraine Refugee Crisis will be used by Fellowship International team members and FAIR partners in Poland as they seek to provide for the needs of refugees who have fled their homes.

Your support to help alleviate human suffering through this appeal is greatly appreciated.
