ROKEBY MISSION UPDATE - “We pray that this letter finds you enjoying crisp fall mornings. Burnaby has been chilly recently, but cool weather and clear skies sure beat rain! As you might have deduced, we are still in Canada. Our Certificates of Eligibility (COEs) did not arrive in time for us to depart on October 20. But, our COEs are now somewhere over the Pacific! Sunday evening, we received word that the COEs were delivered to our field office over the weekend. Once they arrive here, we can take them to the Japanese Consulate in Vancouver to apply for visas. Visa processing is normally a week or two. We have consulted with our field leadership and determined it would be best for us to arrive in Japan in early January. Sunday, October 15 was a special day for us and our church family. Our church commissioned us for missionary service. Our elders offered prayers and Pastor Paul provided the charge.”
