THIS SUNDAY - We are starting a two-part sermon series entitled, “How To Live Biblically In Today’s World.” We will be taking a look at what the book of Judges has to say regarding God’s justice and truth. Join us in person at 10 a.m. or watch online at Church Online

URGENTLY NEEDED:  two or three Sunday School helpers to start in September. Flexible schedule and training is provided. Please contact Karen Walkey.

THE LEADERSHIP TEAM - would like to announce that the following positions have been elected this year:
    Board Chair - Janice McDonald
    Vice Chair - Andrew Martin
    Treasurer, Secretary - Doug Gairns

KICK OFF SUNDAY - will be September 17th. Come celebrate with us as we kick off a new ministry year. We will be having a potluck lunch after the service, so please mark your calendars! We would like to know what you’ve been up to this summer, please email your pictures to the office.

ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING - will be held on October 22nd after the service. This is a time when we reflect on the previous ministry year, vote on the upcoming budget and celebrate what Christ will be doing in the coming year.

DISCIPLESHIP - is a key component of following Jesus. We become mature believers only by living in relationships with others and being challenged in the teachings of Jesus through discipleship; some structures to help facilitate this process include being a part of a small group or attending Freedom Session. We encourage you to consider either option as you seek a deeper relationship with Christ.

ROKEBY UPDATE - This coming month, we will be busy preparing for our departure to Japan. Last week, we brought a load of items to Tanja's parents' home in Duncan for storage. In the coming weeks, many "take it or toss it" decisions will be made. We will be sharing many coffees and meals with friends and family. We also continue to wait patiently for our Certificates of Eligibility so that we can apply for visas. We want to thank you all for your continued support and we look forward to serving on your behalf in Japan soon.

BABY BOTTLE CAMPAIGN - We received a thank you note where a Hope for Women Client writes “The counsellors helped me through my trauma and pregnancy issues. They advocated for me and supported me throughout my pregnancy and postpartum. They went above and beyond for me. I’m so glad I found them and had the courage to call them one day! Truly life changing!”

FREEDOM SESSION will be starting on Monday, September 25. Registration forms are available at the back table or contact Janice McDonald. If anyone can help with running tech or preparing coffee, please let Janice know.
