Questions To Consider:
Read Matthew 25:31–46.
- What part of this passage most encourages, challenges, or unsettles you? Why?
- Both groups ask, “Lord, when did we see You?” What does their surprise reveal about how mercy—or neglect—becomes part of a person’s character?
- “Compassion does not purchase the kingdom. It reveals that the King has captured our hearts.” How does this help us hold together God’s grace and Jesus’ serious warning about how we treat people?
- Where does hurry or inattention most often cause you to experience people as interruptions, obstacles, or categories? Is there someone God may be inviting you to see differently?
- We cannot respond to every need, and healthy compassion requires limits. How can we distinguish a wise boundary from an excuse to remain unavailable?
- The series has moved from receiving Christ’s presence, to listening, to noticing, and now to embodying it. What would it look like for someone to experience the welcome, patience, or mercy of Jesus through you this week?
- Begin each morning this week by praying, “Jesus, whom are You inviting me to notice today?” What specific action could help you remain attentive and respond when the answer appears?
